about me - Joel Rhymer

"If I could take photographs like these, I’d give up painting. You capture in one frame everything I wish I could show on a canvas."

"I can’t look for too long. Your photos make me think too much."

I'm a high school biology teacher who uses photography for both work and fun. As a non-professional, I've donated my time and photographs to numerous organizations over the years. My photos have been published widely on line, in magazines, newspapers, web pages, museum displays, and other formats.

The photos featured here are not work related. Instead, these are selected from my personal collection created during travels or close to home in Freedom, NH and Cape Cod. Some of them are available for sale as gallery quality prints. Prices vary with size, and not all photographs you see here are available. Contact me if you have questions. Prints are made to order, signed, and shipped to you.

I'm glad you're here. I hope you find something comfortable and comforting that's worth your time. For more information on my work, to find out about buying a print, or just to say hello, feel free to get in touch: joelrhymer@gmail.com
